5 Foods that Restricts Erection

Erectile Dysfunction is a very common problem nowadays. A lot of men go through the pain and often shy away from expressing their problem. Here are the 5 foods which might act as an enemy against erections.

1. Processed Carbs

Eating too many simple carbs can lead to adding a lot of calories to your body. Increased body mass has been shown to raise a man’s oestrogen levels and lower testosterone level. According to studies, 40% of obese men face difficulty with their erection.

2. Flavored Soda

According to researchers high fructose corn syrup which is the main sweetener in soda attracts a lot of people for all the wrong reasons and elevates the cholesterol levels and damages the arteries in the male genital. This in return causes erectile dysfunction.

3. Processed Meat

Processed meat contains high levels of saturated fats and cholesterol, which clog the penile arteries because they’re small and quickly collect plaque. Thus erectile dysfunction triggers.

4. Soy

A study out of Harvard School of Public Health found just a half serving of soy per day was enough to reduce sperm count by 40 percent in healthy males. Large amounts of soy can drastically reduce testosterone level and thus lead to impotence.

5. Excessive Consumption of Alcohol

The risk for long-term erectile dysfunction has been linked to chronic heavy use of alcohol. In fact, studies show that men who are dependent on alcohol have a 60 to 70 percent chance of suffering from sexual problems. Overconsumption of alcohol causes the blood vessels in the penis to expand, allowing for more blood flow, but prevents those vessels from closing. As a result, the penis may become erect but not remain so, as there is nothing to prevent backflow.
The most common of these are erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and loss of sexual desire.
